From what I hear, they tend to run a bit small, especially with the leather stretching over time. I'd go half a size up just to be safe.

Yeah, definitely size up! I got my usual size and they were super snug at first. They eventually molded to my feet but it was a bit uncomfortable for a while. Go up at least half a size, maybe even a full size if you have wider feet.
